This is beyond funny. We have had over 25 people visit the forum in the last month and eleven people in the last week! The forum is closed people!!!

I've personally closed the forum over a dozen times, myself, but it keeps coming back on line.

Enjoy this "bonus time" while it lasts. We will eventually close it down for good. Like I mentioned before some of the older threads on practice methods were very informative, and believe it or not, the forum was an active, lively place to hang out and learn stuff.

That's funny, Dave. I just signed on today for the first time since it "closed" to see what would happen. Well, this is what happened. I was signing on to see if it was going to continue as a "read-only" site. Will it?

I really do hope it stays online as a read online site, There is just so much valuable information here that I keep coming back even though it's closed! It'll be waste for the information to disappear.

I just thought about seeing if this forum still exists for the first time in several years. Shame it no longer exists. Now I'll never be able to let people know how much I enjoyed it when in its prime. Thanks Anthony.

Strange how people seem to be talking less about juggling online now even though juggling itself seems to be as popular as ever. Maybe they're just spread out more on the different social networking sites and YouTube.

It was not Anthony's and my intent to keep it online as a "read only," forum. We decided since people weren't posting, there wasn't a desire to keep it going. It's not that we wanted to close it. Anthony has a full family life and a still active career, so he doesn't have a lot of time to devote to it, but if people posted, I'm fairly sure he could check in occasionally.

If the forum can be saved, it will be up to you, the "collective you." A forum relies on content from its members. No new content=no forum. No guarantees the forum will remain in any form, but if no one posts, I guarantee it will disappear.

Literally, talk among yourselves, toss around some ideas about tossing stuff around, or whatever. Get other people to post and who knows, we might have a forum...

Funny Peter, I also just decided to check in on the forum, after...hmmm, I think I last posted in 2005.
It really is sad to see how quiet things have gotten, this was an amazing resource and a great place to post and read. Sure we had some disputes, but the beauty of juggling is that there is no ONE way to do it, I think a lot of people learnt more here than simply juggling tips.

I really do hope that even if the forum gets closed due to low activity, it stays online as read-only resource for future jugglers.

Ironically, that is what I do, too. I come here to see if the forum is still online. The traffic is still increasing. I checked the stats and we've had 25 visitors in the last ten days, so that means the traffic has more than doubled in the last 20 days. Imagine if it kept doing that! How long would it take to get to a million views?

20*(log(1000000)-log(25))/log(2) = 305.8 days

It was kind of funny, logging on and seeing the status of the board changing. I was wondering what was going on!

So, is this forum public for now?

Hey, thanks Peter! It's sometimes nice to have a mathematician around, that likes figuring out things like that. I'm sure there will be some slow days, so it might take a full year to get a million visitors. If Sponge Bob Square Pants was still around, we could do it in a few weeks! ;)

Well, so much for our million visitors within a year. It seems to have stabilized to 25 visitors every two weeks. That's not a lot, compared to the old days, but not bad for a "closed forum." It seems like a lifetime ago where there were almost 50 people on the forum all at once! It's amazing how much can change in three years.
