How about a poll on which sections to close? I feel like there are way too many now.

Okay, here is a serious solution in how to restore the forum.

Step One: Close the Forum for 6 months (meaning no one can post or even look at the forum for 6 months.
If someone tries to sign in, there will be a message saying that it is close for 6 months.

Step Two: Re-open the forum after the 6 months are over.

Step Three: Email all the forum members that the forum is now open

Hopefully, after 6 months people will have fresh ideas and new topics in mind. Does anybody elese think this would work?

Evan

I think you might be right. We added a few to stir up some interest, but we should probably go back to what we had before or something similar.

If you have any suggestions on which forums aren't necessary or any suggestions on what you'd like to see us have, feel free to add them on this thread. That might be a little easier than starting a separate poll.

This goes for anyone. If you have any suggestions, we are all ears.

What I think we need is just more posting, but good quality. Try to think of good questions about juggling or performing to ask Anthony, he is a great resource on these two topics. He's more than willing to share some of his knowledge on these. Questions about his tattoos, which music he uses in a certain video, or what his favorite color is, he doesn't care too much about answering.

Think of good topics for Chit-Chat, too. Not that anyone needs to do a new thread on politics or religion, but we've have some good conversations on those topics in the past.

It could be topics like solar energy, electric cars, inventions, food, exercise; but it could be anything that sparks conversation. What kind of music people like is an okay topic, but that normally peters out pretty quickly and it just turns into a listing of bands. We all have, or should have some interest besides juggling that we like to talk about.

I really think there is no need for the "bouncing" and "passing" sections. These topics fit well enough in "pure juggling" talk. The rest seems fine.

I'd go back to what it was before, close sport/siteswap since it's not really used at all and replace it with the auditions section (Maybe this should merge with promotion/festival/etc?).

I would hate to see it go. It was a huge part of my juggling life years ago when it began...but things are not the same anymore. I still check in when I can, but nothing is going on. Maybe if it was not here for a little bit we would all appreciate what we have here. I will be a lot more active on here when baseball season is over and I have time to dedicate to this and video making etc. I voted maybe.
