This tutorial teaches a very good base move with 4 balls which, when perfected in all variations, really establishes the basic throw, pattern and catch position for doing 5 ball back crosses. Practicing with 4 balls allows you that empty space to make corrections and gives you time to think. While you practice be sure to leave that space because that's where the 5th ball will go. Practice to a piece of music with a similar tempo... try to match the music. It will push you to throw in tempo and make the space more obvious. There are some other great back cross tutorials we are working on to suppliment this one... that will be posted soon!
Dick, thanks for this. Backcrosses with balls have never interested me...but ever since getting "back in the saddle" after delolishing my hand I have made it a point spend time on things I never really wanted to or got around to...one of which is back crosses with balls. Its inspiring to see someone young like Ty do it so well...also makes me feel old and decrepid;)
